Our client, Angela, was involved in a high-speed road traffic collision. Although she did not sustain any structural injuries, she suffered soft tissue damage to her neck, right shoulder, and right hip. In addition, she developed a psychiatric injury, later diagnosed as a depressive adjustment disorder with associated travel anxiety.

Angela instructed our firm to pursue a personal injury claim. We obtained expert medical evidence from both a Consultant Surgeon and a Consultant Psychiatrist to fully assess the extent of her physical and psychological injuries. An initial pre-litigation offer of £5,500 was made by the third-party insurers. Given the strength of our medical evidence, we advised Angela to reject the offer and proceeded to issue Court proceedings. This led to a significantly improved settlement of £25,000, reflecting the true impact of her injuries.
